Hey opester!?

i know you have opie, the overweight cat!
i have a freind who has a couple of cats. i feel he neglets them. when i visit i notice the food bowl is always empty. one of his cats is evil!! he pees on the funitiure and won't use the litter box. i can't really blame the cat because his litter box doesn't get cleaned out on a regular basis. is this neglect a sign of mental defect?? what can i do to help them take care of his pets??
Answer:
Hey Eddie,
Not exactly a mental health question, but here goes. The food bowls may be empty because it isn't meal time when you visit-because of my diabetic cat, we can only feed everyone 3X per day so the food bowls are often empty. Make sure they have water, tho, as there is no reason to restrict that.
As far as the litter box goes, it could be a number of things ranging from depression to distraction to laziness. I'd suggest you ask your friend what's going on, particularly if this is something you just noticed recently. Ask your friend if there is anything you can do to help if it's a temporary thing.
The peeing on furniture is the cats trying to tell their master,,,The liter box is full
I'm hungry!
People don't always realize how smart animals are.
Tell your friend.
