HOW can i calm myself down?

when i ride my horse i always think shes going to TRIP! when im galloping what can i do to not think about that! :%26#92;
Answer:
Well. You have many options as I see it. Firstly, stop riding - which you most likely do not want to do as you continue to ride even though you are afraid. Secondly, but faith in your horse as it is out of your control. Thirdly, use imaginary exercises before you ride - see the ride from beginning to the end. Fourthly, deep breathing exercises - great for any situation where you are afraid. Fifthly, find out the real reason you feel she is going to trip - has she done it before, if yes when - what was it caused by - has she done it again, are you afriad of yourself being hurt or her being hurt, have you seen someone else's horse tripping - did someone else get hurt and you are just assuming that you may get hurt??

Good Luck
Repeat this in your head: "I'm not going to trip, I'm not going to trip, I can do this!"
Try wearing head phone and listen to a song you really enjoy. This way you pay more attention on the song than her tripping.
Has she ever tripped before?
SORRY FOR NOT ANSWERING
Has your horse ever tripped before? If not why are you worried? It sounds like you have fear while riding, which can be a natural reaction to not being in total control. Let's face it they are big animals and strong.
You basically need to self talk yourself and remind yourself that it is ridiculous for you think this way. Horses sense fear in the rider and will react to it. So get a hold of your fears, it could make things worse for you.
